ITALIAN BREAKFAST PEPPERONI PIZZA RECIPE

Here's a fun Italian breakfast idea from Joanne St. Angelo of East Providence, Rhode Island. “Share one pizza for breakfast or have one each for a hearty dinner entree,” Joanne suggests. TIP: To ensure creamy eggs, don't overcook them!

INGREDIENTS

• 2 eggs
• 1 green onion, chopped
• 2 teaspoons water
• 1 teaspoon butter
• 1 prebaked mini Italian bread shell crust  1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
•  1/4 cup pizza    12 slices pepperoni

                   DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, onion and water. In a small skillet, heat butter until hot. Add egg mixture; cook and stir over medium heat until eggs are partially set.

Place the crust on an ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with about 2 tablespoons cheese and drizzle with about 2 tablespoons pizza sauce. Top with scrambled egg mixture. Drizzle with remaining pizza sauce; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Top with pepperoni. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until crust is slightly crisp. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 2 servings.

Bitcoin cash falls below $4,000 after leading exchange restarts trading

Bitcoin cash fell from its session highs on Wednesday, trading back below $4,000, after Coinbase-owned GDAX restarted trading in the bitcoin offshoot.

The digital currency traded at $3,947.98 as of 2:14 p.m. ET.

Coinbase had originally halted bitcoin cash trading as it waited for "sufficient liquidity" to reach the cryptocurrency.

However, bitcoin cash was still up 54.8 percent on the day.

Trading in bitcoin cash launched Tuesday on GDAX at 7:20 p.m., ET, before being suspended after only four minutes as a lack of sellers caused high volatility. Many tweets showed Coinbase charts temporarily indicated bitcoin cash was trading well above $8,000.

Bitcoin cash was created on Aug. 1, when Hong Kong-based digital currency exchange Bitfinex said a group of bitcoin miners would be "forking" from the main bitcoin to create a new version that trades faster and more easily.

The new digital currency has had a staggering run higher ever since it split off, rising more than 780 percent in that time period.

1. Winter and Summer Solstice

In the Northern Hemisphere, the December Solstice is thewinter solstice and the shortest day of the year.

2. A Specific Point in Time

Most people count the whole day as the December Solstice. However, the Solstice is actually at a specific moment - when the Sun is exactly overhead the Tropic of Capricorn.

In 2017, the December Solstice is on December 21, at 16:28 UTC. Due to the Time Zone difference, some locations will have their solstice on a different date.

3. Second Solstice of the Year

Solstices happen twice a year - once around June 21 and then again around December 21. On the June Solstice, the Sun is directly overhead the Tropic of Cancer (latitude 23° 30′ North) in the Northern Hemisphere, while on the December Solstice, the Sun shines directly over theTropic of Capricorn (latitude 23° 30′ South) in the Southern Hemisphere.

4. The Date Varies

The December Solstice can happen on December 20, 21, 22 or 23, though December 20 or 23 solstices are rare. The last December 23 solstice was in 1903 and will not happen again until 2303.

5. The Sun 'Stands Still'

The term solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, meaning 'the Sun stands still'. This is because on this day, the Sun reaches its southern-most position as seen from the Earth. The Sun seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then reverses its direction. It's also common to call it the day the Sun turns around.

6. It's the First Day of Astronomical Winter

In the Northern Hemisphere, astronomers and scientists use the December Solstice as the start of the winter season, which ends on the March Equinox. For meteorologists, on the other hand, winter began three weeks ago on December 1.

7. The Earth Isn't Farthest From the Sun

During winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the Earth is actually closest to the Sun. Different seasonsare not defined by how far the Earth is from the Sun. Seasons occur because Earth orbits the Sun on a slant, with an axial tilt of around 23.4 degrees. Therefore different amounts of sunlight reaches the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, causing variation in temperatures and weather patterns thoughout the year.

In fact, the Earth is on its Perihelion - the point on the Earth's orbit closest to the Sun - a few weeks afterthe December Solstice.

8. Earliest Sunset Not on the Solstice

Most places in the Northern Hemisphere see their earliest sunset a few days before the Solstice and their latest sunrise a few days after the Solstice. This happens because of the difference between how we measure time using watches and the time measured by a sundial.

The meeting co-hosted by the US and Canada will take place on January 16 in Vancouver. 

WASHINGTON:  India will be a part of an international meeting hosted by the US and Canada next month to discuss North Korea's nuclear threat and ways to improve the effectiveness of the current pressure campaign against the reclusive nation.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his Canadian counterpart Chrystia Freeland made the announcement during their meeting in Ottawa yesterday. The meeting co-hosted by the US and Canada will take place on January 16 in Vancouver.

"With the convening of what we're calling the Vancouver Group in mid-January, this is a convening of foreign ministers from the original sending states that were involved in the original Korean conflict.

The Vancouver Group include Australia, Belgium, Britain, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey.

"But we also obviously are including other important parties - the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, Sweden, and others, who we think are important to have engaged in this meeting," Mr Tillerson told reporters.
